It’s woman’s world after all! And when it comes to shopping there is absolutely no exception. This is justified by the fact that sales people talk and persuade women more to influence them into buying their products than their husbands beside them. According to a survey almost seventy-four per cent of women think about shopping every minute.

The theory that women shop for clothes and beauty products while men for electronic products is not valid anymore. Over the past few years, women have been buying more electronic gadgets than men. The number of women between 18 and 24 involved in home electronics purchase has increased from 69% to 91% in the last ten years. This is partly due to the growing demand of cell phones and personal computers. Such statistics clearly call for marketers to pay attention to women understand them well and make efficient strategies.


No one understands the importance of ‘word of mouth’ more than a woman. Women love to share their shopping experience and 84% of women tell others when they’ve had a great brand experience. The usage of ‘word of mouth’ has been picking up well on the internet lately and women have started to participate actively on the various social media sites.

Women also tend to give great importance to customer relationship and service provided. A bad customer experience can cost a lot to a brand.
There is no denying that women are important to the sale of a brand but how easy is it to satisfy their needs? According to a survey, 91% of the women feel that the advertisers don’t understand them.

Most companies brand themselves just by talking about their key points and not really answering her questions. It is important to talk about your selling points but it is much more important for her to get her questions answered. At the end she would give her money only to the brand that makes her feel comfortable.
